Working with clients in the resources, energy, financial services, government, and philanthropic sectors where integrity, resilience, and the safety of people and assets are not negotiable.
Inquiry demands rigour. Inquisition demands persistence. The name reflects both. Perth-based and operating globally.
Every engagement starts with a complete understanding of the environment. No assumptions carried in, no conclusions formed before the analysis is done. When the environment is complex and the exposure is real, that discipline is not optional.
Inqu. draws on senior security leadership across the resources and energy sectors, qualifications in integrity, cyber security, security risk, and law, and a foundation in frontline policing and criminal investigation. The firm works across operational, governance, and legal dimensions of a problem as a matter of course.
Each service area is underpinned by structured methodology and delivered by practitioners with direct experience in the environments our clients operate in.
Our client base spans industries where the consequences of decisions are operational, reputational, and personal, and where the cost of being underprepared is substantial.
All engagements are anonymised in line with our confidentiality obligations. Sector, geography, and scope are indicative.
Steven Jacques is the Founder and Managing Director of Inqu. He works with multinational operators, government agencies, financial institutions, and senior executives on risk management, forensic integrity, operational resilience, travel security, psychosocial safety, and executive protection, in environments where the cost of getting it wrong is real and immediate.
His career spans senior security leadership roles at globally active investment and philanthropic organisations operating across high-risk and complex environments, preceded by more than 16 years with WA Police. He has led engagements across PNG, the Pacific, EMEA, and CIS, delivered integrity training to government clients, and guided organisations through crisis, complex integrity matters, and high-stakes operational disruption.
We work with organisations and individuals for whom the consequences of decisions are operational, financial, legal, or personal. Engagements range from single-project advisory to ongoing retained support.
